Personal Information: Ulrike Roesler is a professor of Tibetan and Himalayan studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of University of Oxford. Her research interests are Indo-Tibetan Buddhism, The Bka’gdams pa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, and Tibetan narrative literature, biographies, and travelogue. Her recent published articles include "The Adventures of Rāma, Sītā and Rāvaṇa in Tibet", "16 Human Norms (mi chos bcu drug) – Indian, Chinese, and Tibetan", "Classifying Literature or Organizing Knowledge?", and "Some Remarks on Genre Classifications in Tibetan Literature", etc. Books edited include: Tibetan & Himalayan Healing: An Anthology for Anthony Aris, Lives Lived, Lives Imagined: Biography in the Buddhist Traditions, etc.
