B.A., Wuhan University, M.A., Department of History, Tsinghua University, PhD, Department of History, Fudan University. Currently associate professor in the National Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies. Specializes in intellectual and cultural history of pre-modern and modernChina. Publications include: “A new study on how Gu Yanwu, Huang Zongxi and Wang Fuzhi became worshiped in the Confucius Temple”, “Confucius Temple and constitutionalism: examining the event of Gu Yanwu, Huang Zongxi and Wang Fuzhi being worshiped in the Confucius Temple in a political perspective”, “The scholars of Northwestern history and geography participating in the worship gatherings at the Gu Yanwu Shrine”, etc. Collated works include Huang Zongxi’s Mingyi daifang lu. He also published more than 30 book reviews, essays and cultural commentaries.
