Oki Yasushi

PhD, University of Tokyo. Professor and Director at Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, University of Tokyo. Specializes in Chinese literature in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, history of the culture and society of the late Ming Jiangnan. Publications include: A Study on Feng Meng-long's Shange (2003), Publishing Culture in the late Ming Jiangnan (2004), Chinese Gay Quarters, the World of Courtesans in Nanjing, Qinghuai in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (2006), A Study of Mao Xiang and his Reminiscences of the Convent of Shadowy Plum-blossoms (2010), etc.
