Professor Zhang Longxi
, Chair Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation, discussed the book Historical Treatments of "China": A Reconstruction by Professor Ge Zhaoguang, Director of the National Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies at Fudan University, at the first Book Review Seminar, which was organised by the Humanities Research Group in the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics on June 16.
Nearly 100 local and overseas students and scholars attended. Book review seminars are major academic activities in the humanities, aiming to promote more research activities.
